Join us in the Q&A New Voices Project

Q&A New Voices Project - JOIN US!Thank you for your interest in "Q&A - New Voices." First, I'd like to share a little history about this project. In 1978, Nancy Adair and Casey Adair filmed a documentary entitled "Word is out." Later it was published in book form. In 1998, I found this book in a half price bookstore. I hadn't heard of the book or the movie. I remember that as I read this book I thought, "This is a great book for gay people wanting to know more about others like them." It contains twenty-six interviews and covers a wide range of subjects. After reading the book, I thought to myself, "What if?" What if a book could be written, in a similar format, but with interviews that would be of interest to straight people also? Interviews that answered the questions they have. I put the idea on hold while I continued to work on my own autobiographical memoirs. Now, two thirds of my own work completed, the gay movement in the news everyday, and the religious and conservative groups spewing out misinformation, I've realized it's time.

To participate in this project you simply need to fill out the our agreement, answer the interview questions, and give your permission to use the information you provide in the book. You decide what level of anonymity you desire. If you wish to use a pen name instead of your real name, you may. If not, and if you would like to include a photo, you may. It's all up to you. You don't have to be a skilled writer to be a part of this project. What is important is your ability to answer the questions in a manner that will show your sincerity and concern. I envision this project as one that reaches those that are intolerant and unknowledgeable of gays and the gay community. Be truthful but polite.
